Soft Snickerdoodles

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

Mix:
2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400.

Cream together butter, shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.

Sift together flour, cream of tarter, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture.

Measure by tablespoonfuls and shape into balls. Roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture.

Place about 2 inches apart on un-greased baking sheets.

Bake 8-10 minutes until set, but not too hard. DO NOT OVER BAKE! Remove immediately from baking sheets to wire rack to cool completely.
